Membership
Membership in the Seattle Turtle and Tortoise Club is open to anyone wanting to join. There are no minimum requirements or participation rules to join. We are interested in anyone who cares about turtles and tortoises, no matter your level of experience or knowledge, anyone wanting to learn about or help us teach others about chelonians is welcomed.
The annual fee for being a member is only $15.00. For this fee you will be notified of all club business via email, you will receive the newsletter electronically via email, and you're invited to attend all member only club functions like the annual club picnic or any scheduled outings/ field trips. Also as a member (over the age of eighteen) you become eligible to join the board of STTC and help us structure the organization towards growth.
Membership in STTC is a fun way to meet and socialize with others who share your interests, learn about current news relating to the worlds turtles, and to open your heart and your home to a rescue animal. You can help us educate the community about the rewards and the awesome responsibility of keeping these wondrous creatures as pets. You can help us raise money so we can make donations to those private conservation efforts that are actually making a difference!
Non-Profit Experienced? As a young organization, comprised mostly of busy professionals, we are always in need of members willing to join the executive board and help us structure the organization towards growth. If you have experience with non-profit fund raising or non-profit book keeping, we are particularly interested in your participation. Due to our current membership size, joining the board of STTC is not a position that requires many hours of devotion, anyone with just a few hours a month to dedicate towards the club could make the difference between the STTC being here today or being here to stay.
